Summit Choral Society – Metropolitan Chorus
Dr. Britt Cooper, Conductor
Requiem for the Living, Dan Forrest
June 13, 2027, Carnegie Hall, New York City (June 10-14, 2027)

GENERAL INFORMATION

SCS’s Metropolitan Chorus has been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in June 2027. The experience includes rehearsals in NYC, a formal Carnegie Hall performance, and a celebratory post-concert dinner cruise on the Hudson River.

Singing at Carnegie Hall is a bucket-list moment for musicians. Few performers ever have the opportunity to take that stage. This is a rare chance to represent Summit Choral Society in one of the most acoustically and historically celebrated halls in the world.  There is something transformative about traveling and making music together. Shared rehearsals, navigating the city, and celebrating after the performance build camaraderie that lasts long after the final note.  After the concert, we will gather for a private dinner cruise on the Hudson River, complete with a buffet and drinks, celebrating your hard work with skyline views and unforgettable memories. Performing at this level elevates artistry. The focused rehearsals, professional environment, and high-caliber performance expectations stretch us musically and vocally in the best way. Touring together deepens friendships within the choir and strengthens our Metropolitan Chorus identity. These shared milestone experiences create lasting bonds.

Any friends and family who would like to join us for the entire residency (rehearsals, dress rehearsal in Carnegie Hall, concert ticket in the Parquet, and cruise) is welcome to register as a non-performer. But as this singer mentioned, if they prefer to just attend the concert and cruise, they can purchase those tickets a la carte.
