 A Treble Voice Choral Festival | NE Ohio 
A 4-day, 3-night festival exclusively for treble singers, celebrating the power of voices through an extraordinary blend of world-class music-making, luxury accommodations and unforgettable experiences, culminating in the world premiere of a newly commissioned festival work by acclaimed composer and clinician Jim Papoulis, conducted by the composer himself! Participants will enjoy multiple performance opportunities, including a welcome sing at Cuyahoga Fall's Amphitheater and the festival finale concert held at historic St. Bernard Catholic Church.=

Jim Papoulis
Featured Conductor

Work with world-renowned clinician, conductor and composer Jim Papoulis and be part of the world-wide debut of the newly-commissioned festival piece!  

Jim Papoulis composes in many genres and is known for work that combines
contemporary, classical, and world sounds. Papoulis has made significant contributions to choral music by revitalizing the choral repertoire with songs whose roots are classical and world, with voicing that incorporates lead vocalists with choirs, vocal percussion, and world rhythms.

Is the festival cost based on room occupancy?
Yes. The festival fee is priced per participant and is based on your group’s room occupancy. All rates include festival participation, hotel lodging, and the included meals.
What are the hotel accommodations?
All guests will stay in elegantly appointed 500-square-foot, two-room suites at the Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls. Each suite includes:
  • Two double beds or one king bed
  • Separate living room with a queen-size pull-out sofa
  • Mini refrigerator
  • Desk and comfortable seating area
  • Large closet
  • Separate vanity and restroom areas
  • Complimentary Wi‑Fi
  • Coffee and tea maker
What is the festival cost per person?

Note: Final pricing is based on your group’s actual room occupancy.
How can a room fit five or six participants?
Each room is an elegantly appointed 2-room suite.  The suite accommodates up to six guests with two participants in each double bed and two participants on the queen-size pull-out sofa.
Are Directors free?
One director attends free with every group of 20 or more paid participants.
What meals are included?
The festival registration includes:
  • Breakfast each morning
  • Dinner each evening
  • Finale Cookie Reception following the closing concert
What meals are not included?
Participants are responsible for purchasing lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.
Lunch locations will be convenient to festival activities, with  options available to accommodate different tastes and budgets.
What are the parking fees?
Parking is complimentary for all festival guests including:
  • Private vehicles
  • Passenger vans
  • Charter buses
Charter buses may load and unload directly at the hotel’s main entrance and free overnight bus parking is available across the street.
Are there any additional required costs?
No.
Other than purchasing lunch on Wednesday and Thursday, there are no additional required festival fees.

What Makes This Festival Unique?
A Featured Experience for Every Choir
One of the most distinctive aspects of the Invention City International Choral Festival is that every participating choir is showcased as an individual ensemble during two special festival performances.
Finale Concert at Historic St. Bernard Catholic Church
Each choir will perform two selections during the finale concert at Historic St. Bernard Catholic Church,  an acoustically inspiring venue that highlights the unique artistry of every ensemble.
Welcome Concert at the Amphitheater
Choirs will also be featured during the Welcome Concert, presenting a less formal / a cappella selection in a festive outdoor setting with the Cuyahoga Falls as a stunning backdrop. This opening celebration creates an exciting opportunity for ensembles to introduce themselves and connect with singers from across the festival.
Sing in the Festival Choir
In addition to their featured performances, all participating singers will unite as one Festival Choir to prepare and perform four to five collaborative selections under the direction of Jim Papoulis.
A Newly Commissioned Work by Jim Papoulis
The festival will feature a newly commissioned composition by renowned composer Jim Papoulis.
Singers will have the extraordinary opportunity to learn and perform this new work under Jim Papoulis’s direction, gaining insight and inspiration from one of today’s most celebrated voices in choral music.
