Children & Youth Choir
Current Audition / Interview Dates
Enrolling children and youth in 2nd through 10th grade for our January through May 2010 session, with culminating concert with all singers on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Cuyahoga Falls High School Auditorium.
Our music education and performance program emphasizes individual understanding and development of musical skills. It is one of Northeast Ohio's premier choral arts organizations! New singers are placed into one of 6 class levels based on their own musical skill level. Singers then progress at their own ability. We hold audition/interviews in January, May, August and September.
For all singers, training sessions start on Monday, February 1st at Coventry High School. For NEW singers (who audition and register in January 2010), we will have a NEW singer orientation on Monday, January 25, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at our offices located at Steinway Hall at 715 E. Buchtel Ave. directions.
CURRENT AUDITIONS
Current Audition Dates: Tuesday, January 19 (FILLED) & Friday, January 22, 2010
Audition Times: 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm (appointments are scheduled to begin every 30 minutes, last appointments scheduled starting at 7:00 pm)
Appointments: 1 hour (total duration)

About the Placement Audition/Interview Session: Singers will be accompanied by piano and will perform simple musical exercises with our music teacher to determine their current skill level. Singers are encouraged to prepare a favorite short song to sing (even something as simple as Twinkle Twinkle) but it is not required.
